| Most of your scammers are impatient and they approach you. They offer a good deal, a card everyone wants, and then they either try to get over on you by an unfair trade or ask you to send money in the mail or something ridiculous. But they are getting smarter. Some have learned some pretty creative tactics. Once someone knows that you have BFP they may try to contact you about "a friend of theirs" that gives "crazy good deals" or knows a guy who works for EA. Then they offer you really good cards for a deal. You are cautious at first spending little to no BFP maybe 500 or less and you get a card worth 1000 bfp. So you get excited. You tell all your friends. This is the process called reeling you in. The next time you do business with them they offer you a multi card trade like all the Promos for 5k. But you have to send it via mail or you have to give the money for the promos all in the first trade window. Bam you get scammed for 2k-10k. The people are nice to you for a few days appologizing and doing their other scams. Once they have exausted their account reputation they start a new account and start scamming again. The reality is that Battleforge has a major Design Flaw. Free2Play means Free2Scam. We need to have a PAID SUBSCRIPTION server. This will cut down on the people who scam and allow bans to actually mean something. If your account gets banned, "who cares?" You can start a new one. None of the scammers actually have any cards on their scam accounts. Banning is a joke. Everyone is destined to get scammed if they actually interact with other players. The most recent time i almost got scammed. Some asked me to trade Mo for Forest Elder. I confirmed three times that they wanted Mo and they had Forest Elder. I went out and bought a second Mo and when I went to trade the person didn't trade me. Tried to give me a similar nature card. I was like WTF. The scams are getting wierder and wierder. I think the best thing to do in this game till they get a new system or a new server that is a pay server is use the AH and only trade people that show you decks with alot of good cards in it because scammers dont have alot of good cards in their decks they keep that to a minimum. Also, we need to realize that there is nothing we can do about scamming because the game is Free2Play and scammers have like 10-20 accounts and just log on different accounts if someone calls them a scammer. Educate yourself and assume everyone is trying to scam you and you will be OK. The second you let your guard down WHACK! they will hit you hard. At least that is my experience. Good Luck | |
